Oneplus as we all know is a company that is known for its smartphones that give a bang for the buck. But after the recent launch of the Oneplus 8 series this fact does not remain the same. The new lineup starts at a whopping price of ₹41,999 for the base model (6/128 GB) of   Oneplus 8 and goes up to ₹ 60,000 for the Pro model in India. Due to this rapid increase in price by the company, a lot of fans have been disappointed. After this recent turn of events, Oneplus 7 might be the number one contender for students. If you are looking to buy a premium or flagship phone, here are 7 reasons why you should consider the Oneplus 7 as your daily driver.

Speed has been one of the key selling points for Oneplus devices right since the beginning and Oneplus 7 is no exception. They have always been known for the great hardware inside them. Along with this, it is also equipped with HDR 10 which helps us to enjoy our content in the best possible way. HDR 10 combined with the 1080p Optic AMOLED produces blacker blacks, crisper images and clearer videos.

Great Battery Life

3700 mAH may not sound like a lot of juice for this power-packed beast, but in contrast, this device can easily last you a full day at work. In my daily usage, the phone handles everything without a compromise on battery life. The phone also comes with a 20 Watt Dash Charger bundled with the device which charges the device from 0 to 50% in 30 minutes which is enough for using it for a very long time to binge-watch our favourite shows or get some work done.

Respectable Camera Quality

The 21st Century is a digital age and we youngsters are surrounded by it. From classes on Zoom and ordering food online to social media. Nowadays maintaining social media feeds on Instagram and Facebook is common practice for everyone. To do the same one needs a good camera to take record-breaking photos.

The rear camera system on this device feature a 48 MP shooter with a Sony IMX 586 coupled with a secondary depth shooter of 5 MP for stunning portraits. You can also record breathtaking videos in 4K at 60 fps or create a slow-mo of 240 fps at 1080p. Apart from this options for shooting time-lapse and video editing are pre-installed on the device. Overall the cameras provide greatly detailed photos and video in daylight as well as in the night. 

Premium Looks and Feel

A smartphone is only as good as it looks and feels in the head. No matter what specifications you put into the device it will never be satisfactory if it is made with sub-par materials and contains weird symmetry.

Oneplus 7 has a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass with a matte finish which feels premium right from the moment you see it. The simplistic approach to design on the back and notch display on the front do the magic for any user. It is available in three colours: Red, Mirror Grey and Mirror Blue.  

Superb Connectivity and Sound

Oneplus 7 comes with a dual 4G+4G connectivity which proves very handy. It is very beneficial as most of the people have two sim cards with one of them being a Jio, which only runs on a 4G network.  In such a scenario both the sim cards able to run on a 4G network and provide an optimum speed.

4G combined with the dual stereo Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers gives a crystal clear calling experience. Watching movies and listening to music is an immersive experience due to Dolby Atmos and the AMOLED Display. It comes with an equalizer and various sound modes which can be set as per liking. 

Light on the Pocket

One problem every student faces is budget constraints all the time. Oneplus 7 solves all your problem in this regard as it packs a powerful flagship performance at a not so flagship price. It initially launched at a price point of  ₹ 37,999 for the 8 GB/ 256 GB model but has received several prices and now costs only ₹ 34,999. There are many exchange programs on the Amazon website and offer additional discounts of up to ₹ 11,000 on exchanging your older device. One can also wait for the various sales organized by Amazon round the year for great deals. 

You can also buy the 6 GB/128 GB model of the phone which is already under ₹ 30,000 and has similar discounts all around the year. Time is a very important factor when buying Oneplus devices as it can make a huge price difference.
